This package includes the IMU board pictured to the left, plus the mounting and assembly hardware required to build it once you supply the sensor boards.

This IMU board is a Bioloid bus device, and is fully compatible with the CM-5 controller. Each board has an ID (defaults to 120), and can understand most of the same commands that stock Bioloid devices can understand (READ_DATA, WRITE_DATA, etc).

This board does not come with any sensors, which must be purchased separately from Sparkfun or one of their distributors.

All the necessary hardware to mount the two sensor boards to this IMU board is included with the board. Also included is the mounting plate which allows this IMU to be mounted inside the stock Bioloid humanoid chest compartment.

Note that if you buy this board, and then buy the sensor boards elsewhere, you will need to solder the two headers (included with this board) to the two sensor boards.

Board dimensions: 0.75" x 1.15" (19.1 mm x 29.2 mm)
If you are mounting your IMU somewhere other than the chest compartment of your Bioloid, you may choose to order this board with a right-angle bus header rather than the straight bus header required for chest mounting.

Please indicate that you want the right-angle bus plug in that case, and note that the chest mounting plate for the IMU board is not included (it will not work with this right angle bus plug). Three 1/4" long nylon standoffs will be included with this board, to allow mounting on a flat surface.

The design and development of these devices was funded by The Neukom Institute.
